Hertz Session: How Colors Can Influence Students in Educational Environments

You’ve probably noticed that color influences your mood, but have you stopped and considered how color can be used to enhance learning. The colors used in learning environments can actually have a major impact on student’s moods, how they learn and absorb information. While the impact of color is often overlooked, color is an inseparable part of our everyday lives. It’s inherent in everything we see and do, studies indicate that it plays a role in emotion, productivity, communication, and learning. In this session, we will learn how certain colors can have a significant influence in Education.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Understand the importance of color when designing and creating learning environments for students.
  2. Identify the key components of colors best suited for use in educational environments.
  3. Describe, evaluate, and communicate the impact that certain colors have on learners.
  4. Select more appropriate color options to help influence and stimulate learning.
